New crawls help you find images missing an alt attribute and same-site image references that return “not found”. Crawl Audit shows the containing page and image evidence so you can investigate the right place.
An explicitly empty alt attribute may describe a decorative image and is not automatically reported as a problem. Coverage explains which references were checked, skipped or left unchecked, including request limits. Blocked and failed requests are not labelled broken images.
This first release checks original HTML and bounded same-site image requests. It does not check external/CDN images, responsive alternatives or images added only by JavaScript. Start a new Salience crawl to collect the evidence; older captures cannot fill it retrospectively.
